Logona Liquid Foundation in Medium Beige(03)

Oh,uh I've been so lazy to write anything here lately.Nor even did the blogwalking. J.u.s.t feel not so inspired and got couple of things to do.So anywho,I'll try to write a simple short review for those who need a bit info about this product(and trust me,i rarely find a review of this product  in blog so hope this one will help you who want to try this product).

Ok,so in the quest of finding a good liquid foundation that has everything conventional brand offered, but in healthier ingredients,I decided to try this Logona liquid foundation in medium beige(no.03). Logona has 3 shades to offer:light beige, medium beige, and sunny beige.

Personally,I like Logona silver and sleek packaging( I love silver!gold is just not me..Not my style, not my taste, just no!Gold color will be my last option when no silver color is available). And among German brands, only Logona and Sante that didn't use alcohol on their ingredients so Logona is deffy my choice. FYI,Logona and Sante are from the same company.Sante is the sister line, targetting for younger consumer than Logona. I didn't choose Sante liquid foundie since I heard that it had sheer coverage.

On to the review:

This product was actualy great, the best moisturizing liquid foundation I've ever tried. It did heal, nourished my skin after application.Even when I didn't remove my make up at night,I'd wake up in plumper and smoother skin in the morning. I did really like this foundation!.This one also had that dewy effect, not glossy, something that I love from a liquid foundation. The coverage was buildable to medium(which means it's sheer on 1st swipe).

However, the really downside is this one:shade! Though what I bought was beige, but the shade fell to pink undertone category and not yellow which isn't match to my skintone(pls,do not refer to the swatch above. It got white balance of my camera so..basically it's pink!).Before buying this,I've asked to Paola about the shade. However I forgot to check her answer, turned out that all of logona shades fall to pink undertone category! If you have pink undertone,I really suggest you this product. But for me the shade is very disappointing.Another downside is the smells.Though this one has no synthetic fragrance, but the fragrance of this product reminds me of old cosmetic powder, those that grannies wore.It smells sooo granma! The over powering sweet scents.Very granma scent...:/   Annndd...this one dries fast also so you need to apply it fast before it dries, or else you will get flaky patches.I used to apply foundation by make dots arround my face then swipe it either with hands or brush. With this one,I needed to make one or 2 dots on each part of my face, then swipe it since it would dry quickly.

The inspiring properties of the micronized quartz, amethyst and amber gems enhance your positive energy...
And this one has talc in it.Fyi,I'm not against talc in liquid form.So I'm ok with it. After all, this one is BDIH certified. This one is also certified vegan and gluten free product so this product may a good option for you who are vegan and gluten free products seekers.

If you have pink undertone,Logona really worths to try.But if you have anyother undertone than pink,well..stay away since logona collection tends to those who are in pink undertone. If you ask me what I'll rate this product,I'll rate it 4.5 out of 5.Only the shade that falls imo.In fact,it's hard to find clean, green, and natural liquid foundation that works like conventional foundation ones.Simply because it has no silicones family in it. I'm not talking about how silicones make us feel smooth, that the product works to smoothen our skin while it's simply the"illusion"that silicones give.I'm talking about how somehow silicones perfectly cover your pores, and bind cosmetic colorants well so that it always give you good coverage compared to the non silicones one.I personally avoid having silicones in my liquid make up since somehow it did clog my pores and made me break out. There are many types of silicones I know, but the typical dimethicone that most of cosmetic industry use in liquid products feels stick to my skin(and tehnically that is how silicones work, just sitting there on the skin!).However,I haven't tried non liquid products(like powders) as I'm not interested in to.I mean, for the same $ that  have to pay,why I should choose the one that possibly break me out while there are other option available out there?..

That's all for now, thanks for reading!:) Have a nice weekend, and please don't forget to support any of these programs below:

6 lovely notes

  1. You're right! I rarely find a review of this product so thanks for reviewing this. I think this was also made in Germany? Good thing it didn't have alcohol because I remember you once told me you can't use products with alcohol in them. :)

Do you usually prefer liquid over powdered foundations?

    1. YW,Vivi! :) I found it difficult too when 1st time I wanted to buy this product. In fact, this is the best liquid foundie that I've ever tried!Too bad they didn't make it for yellow undertone :(
Yes,Logona is a German brand and made in Germany.Right,I don't use ethanol products on my cosmetics for religion reason.Only very very few of German brands that don't use alcohol on their products(ever told ya about this before).I think there're many ppl out there that don't want to use alcohol for other reasons but religion, also :)

Powdered foundation won't give dewy finish, something that I like from liquid one.So I usually prefer liquid over powdered one.I think it covers more than powdered one, don't you think so?:S

  2. I came across your blog after a while and saw that we both have Logona review :) I'm glad you have found a foundation you like. I also as you find the main problem with their shades-also need more of them. I have used in my video Logona tinted cream and it wasn't rosy. But during time I noticed that all these natural products tend to change shade on different skins- for instance this cream was ok on the model, not rosy. I love the pics of the gems! I use them all the time. have a nice time!

    1. Oh,right.I saw it on your blog on my right bar there--->but haven't visited yours.I've been pretty much overwhelming these days :/

About the shade,I actually found it 1st on Paola blog here:http://katpaola.blogspot.com/
She has pink undertone as far as I remember, she also has tried many logona products. And she was the 1st one who said it's on rosy shade tendency.I mean all of Logona products. However I wanted to make sure so that I asked her again, but forgot to check her answer before buying this foundie,so..yeah..she's right.Anyway, unless it's different shade with a person's skin tone(like you have yellow skintone but using pink shade foundation),I've never experienced that my natural products change shade on my skin.Especially since most of them are usually sheer.Have you experienced this,Dasha?

    2. Yes, I've experienced this quite often. I think it's because of minerals & natural ingredients that interact with the individual chemistry of each one's skin. Natural ingredients have other characteristics than synthetics. I also noticed it on myself as well but just with natural products; the product may become slightly darker, change color undertone.

    3. This is an interesting finding about natural make up.Hopefully I can discuss about this with you personally :) Been busier these days,Dasha :(
Anyway,I have done your sweet awards :) Just posted it!:)
